It’s been a great car, then developed a miss.

I had it thoroughly checked at a reputable shop, but there was no definite determination for the miss. However, they did find low compression (40 lbs) in one cylinder, believed to be a bad ring. 165-ish lbs compression in all other cylinders. Never an overheat. Head gaskets are perfect. No exhaust leaks. All valves are good, all valve springs are good. No noises at all. No ticks, no knocks. Other than the miss, the car functions mechanically very very well. New front end bushings. 1″ front sway bar. 10″ front disc brakes. Posi rear with gears that feel like 3:23’s. The trans shifts perfectly. Nice and tight. I just had the linkage rebuilt from the column down to the trans. Dual Flowmasters. Double timing chain. The body is very decent with the exception of rust repair at the bottom of the left rear quarter, behind the rear wheel. No rust in trunk floor or extensions. The car was originally B3 blue, which remained until the previous owner thought primer was better…(?). All glass is great and original. The bumpers are amazing. The grille is perfect. The interior is in great shape with the exception of the rubber mat tearing. You can see the jute on the drive’s side. Otherwise, the rubber floor mat is great. The seat upholstery, front and rear, is 99% like new, as well as all 4 interior panels. Speedometer, odometer, wipers and gas gauge all work. Blinkers and lights all work. I have an extra instrument cluster and other things. Clean, clear title, in-hand. Sorry, but the license plates will not go with the car. It took me 40 years to find some with my initials.
