Description & Pictures
Rare original Mopar Muscle Car, and probably one of the highest optioned Swinger 340’s built.
1970 Dodge Dart Swinger 340, FC7 – Plum Crazy paint, black interior. High back deluxe bucket seats, center console, factory A/C. Original numbers matching high performance 290 HP 340 engine, original A-727 High performance heavy duty TorqueFlite Transmission. Original 8.75 rear end with factory 3.23 gears. Ignition is a Pertronix electronic ignition, with new heavy duty coil. New Edelbrock AVS2 carburetor, 650 CFM, 14 inch Rallye wheels with BF Goodrich T/A radials. ‘Legendary Auto Interiors’ seat covers, carpet, and headliner. Dash is original no cracks. Original door panels in great shape. Speedometer works, but is off by 3 miles per hour due to larger tire size. Odometer is missing the reset knob for the trip meter. Original fresh air hood scoops are in excellent condition.
Restoration was done 10 plus years ago. All trim, emblems, grill, signal lenses, tail lights are in excellent condition. Rear bumper is a new Classic Industries reproduction, and front is original re-chromed. Original factory color of FC7 Plum Crazy purple was repainted in correct shade using PPG Base coat clear coat. Body was totally stripped to bare metal before repaint, including door jambs, trunk floor, and under hood area. Factory disc brakes (non-power) Kelsey Hayes 4 piston calipers, stops excellent. No pulling left or right, no brake fade stopping from high speed. Wipers work, but currently has incorrect two speed motor installed so it must be manually parked. The light A-Body with a 340 cubic inch engine makes for a quick car, which is a blast to drive. Very few Darts (or any A-Body cars) have this many options, and still retain all the original numbers matching drivetrain. Even fewer with the FC7 paint code.
New parts in the last year. Antique License plates, Delphi mechanical Fuel pump, Fuel filter, Fuel injection hose & clamps, Owner’s Manual User’s guide, Car cover, Center Console insert, RetroSound radio with Bluetooth, USB, 3.5mm, plus (hands free phone bluetooth connection and speaker), Rear speakers, Custom Kick Panels with Rockville 4×6” kick panel speakers, Radio Antenna, Rallye Dash circuit boards, Fuel gauge (mounted in trunk), Fuel tank sending unit, A/C condenser, Ignition coil, spark plugs, Spark plug boots, Edelbrock AVS2 carburetor model 1906 650 cfm, Purolator Air filter, PCV Valve.
All gauges work except for the dash fuel gauge, (temporary fuel gauge mounted in trunk). A/C system evidently has a small leak, but was working really well last summer after the new A/C condenser was installed.
